Invitation to the Third Asian and Oceanic Congress
on Radiation Protection (AOCRP-3)

   The Third Asian and Oceanic Congress on Radiation Protection (AOCRP-3) is a congress for radiation protection held every four years under Asian and Oceanic Association for Radiation Protection (AOARP). The AOARP is a regional association of International Radiation Protection Association (IRPA). AOCRP is also placed as a regional congress of IRPA, and has a history of holding in Soul, Korea (AOCRP-1, 2002) and in Beijing, China (AOCRP-2, 2006).

   Now we are going to AOCRP-3, 2010, in Tokyo, Japan. The world is in a big economical wave of recession. Nevertheless the activity progress of this region is inevitable. A step by step progress of this region's people life is a reality. The baseline of this process is a stable supply of energy which has a less impact to environment with less emission of CO2. As one of the effective way, strengthening of nuclear power plants is proposed and this wave is called as a nuclear renaissance. Not only nuclear business but also nuclear application in industry and medical fields are developing widely. Radiation safety and security are a foundation of these applications. Various fields; radiation protection principles, technology, real field application, regulatory system, public risk communication etc. will be discussed in AOCRP-3. These mutual communications by attendants connecting to the world movements cultivate an understanding of radiation protection of this region and make a robust network on radiation protection.

   Not only congress discussions but also technical and culture visits will be arranged. We scenically invite you to join this exiting congress and looking forward to seeing you in AOCRP-3, Tokyo, Japan.
